Detailed description of Valley View Golf Club
Valley View Golf Club is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Akron, Ohio. Valley View hass three nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen hole combinations. The courses are The Lakes Course, The River Course, and The Valley Course.
Valley View golf course first opened for play in 1958. The course(s) were designed by Carl S. Springer.
The Lakes Course is the most difficult of the three courses. There are water hazards that come into play at least six times and has several undulating dogleg fairways.
The River Course has two holes that require shots over water, and the fairways are straight and fairly narrow.
The Valley Course has three ponds that can come into play on four.

Blue tees: par-72, 6,168 yards, course ranking 68.3, slope ranking 109.
White tees: par-72, 5,889 yards, course ranking 66.4, slope ranking 96.
Red tees: par-72, 5,364 yards, course ranking 68.7, slope ranking 112.
River/Lakes
Blue tees: par-72, 6,193 yards, course ranking 68.2, slope ranking 111.
White tees: par-72, 5,874 yards, course ranking 66.2, slope ranking 108.
Red tees: par-72, 5,277 yards, course ranking 68.7, slope ranking 115.
Valley/River
Blue tees: par-72, 6,293 yards, course ranking 68.7, slope ranking 111.
White tees: par-72, 6,006 yards, course ranking 67.4, slope ranking 109.
Red tees: par-72, 5,297 yards, course ranking 69.2, slope ranking 114.
$10 (cart included), played on Thursday, September 2009 at 4pm
Starters have no concept of pace of play. No on-course marshals. SLOW golfers in early leagues ruin course for others.
$26 (cart included), played on Monday, September 2009 at 8am
Inconsiderate staff, extremely slow play not monitored by staff, 2009 and still does not accept credit cards as a payment option.

Valley View has 27 holes, so it's always fairly easy to get a tee time. The course is located just 5 minutes from downtown Akron, so it's easy to get to and it's some of the most scenic property for a course in the area, as the Cuyahoga River runs through the course. It also features two large Indian burial mounds, several small lakes, elevation changes and undulating greens. I've brought many out-of-town visitors there and they love the beauty of the course.
